Proposal for vineyard, incubator kitchen, function location on Wausau Chemical web page dropped

A $1.5 million proposal to change a portion of the Wausau Chemical website into a business enterprise incubator that would have housed a 300-individual celebration location and other amenities is no for a longer time in the performs, metropolis officers verified on Friday.

The proposal for Wausau Barrel Household and Cannery included a co-packing cannery, winery, kitchen and foodstuff truck stalls with both equally indoor and out of doors seating. The task was proposed by Dan and Kimm Weber, entrepreneurs of Timekeeper Distillery in Wausau, and Lyn Kearns, president of Mosinee Brewing Company.

But Wausau Financial Development Director Liz Brodek explained the project has because been dropped. The reason for the withdrawal is not immediately distinct, while Brodek explained she considered the transform was “related to covid.”
