Hill in the end scored a new reclaimed oak table from Riverside Franklin, a property retail store exterior Nashville. She picked up the mismatched chairs from the well-beloved neighborhood antique keep Patina + Co. and the Nashville Flea Industry and had her mother spray-paint them with Rust-Oleum’s Midnight Blue.
In other places, Hill’s late grandmother’s Blue Willow china fills two corner cupboards, garden sale finds she painted white. On the walls, copper frames surround the home’s initial cerulean blueprints, signed by the architects. “When I saw them, I was like, You know exactly where individuals would appear excellent? In my huge, vacant, white-walled eating space,” Hill laughs.
The gentle-filled den is an ’80s addition to the unique 1936 home. “The sofa is a beast. It is from RH and was really worth each individual penny. My pet enjoys to run all over on it, so it has some scratches, but I think it is intended to be lived in. I never want a couch the place I’m like, really do not sit there.” The espresso table was an eBay locate, whilst the pillow, throws, and poufs are from corporations ranging from Hermès to Ugg, with a Costco faux fur thrown in for excellent measure.
Photography and styling by Alyssa RosenheckIn distinction to the shadowy front rooms, the giant den that occupies the home’s innermost corner delivers a blast of sunshine. “The dwelling and eating rooms are darkish and cozy, and then there’s this large, modern space,” Hill states of the home, a 588-square-foot ’80s addition that has two lengthy partitions of home windows. Her obstacle: getting a throughline with paint. A glossy coat of Naval by Sherwin-Williams addresses a wall of built-in cabinets, loaded with textbooks, bar accouterments, and her selection of elephants, which Hill states is her spirit animal.
An outsized RH couch delivers lounging room. “This is the place we look at films and have early morning hangouts when my whole family’s below,” Hill says. “The sofa is 13 by 9 feet and people still have to sit on the ground.” Poufs, pillows, and throws from brand names like Hermès, Pendleton, and Ugg aid make it a cozier endeavor.
Upstairs, the ethereal principal bedroom is anchored by a metal mattress by Novogratz that Hill discovered on Wayfair. “I love it in listed here,” she says. “I wanted this room to experience incredibly mountain-y. I wake up and I experience like I’m on vacation in a log cabin.” The bedside tables and rug were being scored from Dealer’s Selection, a close by auction house.
“This is my total condominium in New York, this 1 room,” she says of her closet, which features uncovered beams and an antler chandelier. “I did not have sufficient closet space there, and right here I am now with a complete room I have produced into my closet.” The pink material chairs are a Chairish obtain, though the stained glass in the window is from Dealer’s Preference. The rugs are a superior-low blend from the Southern Loom, Costco, and Target.

Heading out of the primary bedroom, website visitors go a pleasantly incongruous modern day black-and-white striped lavatory (“I contact it the Beetlejuice place,” says Hill) on their way to the key event, Hill’s closet: a mild-stuffed, pink jolt of femininity.
